Another paint over of some of my line work. Having fun with these and learning a lot about color, form, and light.⁣

Thankful for Photoshop today. I honestly don’t know what I would do with out this program. It’s been essential to my development as an artist and success in my career. Reminds me of an exchange I had with my older son as he was learning how to use the program:⁣

Son: Photoshop is STUPID!⁣
Me: Watch it, boy. We don't speak that way about PhotoShop in this house. We HAVE this house because of PhotoShop!⁣

I’ve been running CS6 for the last 8 years until recently switching to CC2020 because my computer died. Honestly, any version of Photoshop is good to learn and has all the tools you really need for making digital art. Alternatives that are pretty good: Autodesk Sketchbook, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint. Each has their strengths and weaknesses, but any of them should get you going with digital art.⁣
